REFLECTIONS oily pastel, pasteboard

"I draw my paintings with sincerity and simplicity; without special effects. I use only the possibilities provided by the pastel, the water-colour and paper. These means are enough for me to expres myself and the power of the changing nature. In my paintings I look for the light, calm and peace. My desire is to resreate the condition in which one is alone with God and with His superb creation, revealing His glory."      The painting I offer to your attentation are lanscapes of Bulgarian sites and towns. They are produced in dry pastel, water-colour and mixed technique.

Nina Ivanova was born in June 1965 in Vidin, Bulgaria. In 1984 she graduated from the School of Applied Arts in Sofia, speciality - "playthings and souvenirs". In 1992 she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia, speciality " Illustration and get-up of the book" in the course of professor Christo Neikov. In 1993 she has her first one-man show in Sofia of paintings and water-colours. She works in the field of the illustration of books for children, book design, painting, water-colour, landscape etc. Her art works are owned by private collections in Bulgaria, Austria, Japan, Holland, France etc.
