The CREDO Duo
have been performing together since 1997. Their repertoire includes musical works written in the 12th through to the 20th century. Besides classic guitar, the Duo play authentic baroque flutes such as soprano, sopranino, alto, tenor, transverse orchestra flute and pan-flute, as well as Bulgarian folk music instruments such as the wooden pipe, ocarina, dvoyanka.

ARTISTIC CURRICULUM VITAE AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Born in Sofia, Bulgaria in 1973, Ekaterina Kostadinova Vasseva completed her secondary school education with a degree in the English language and, as a part time student, the Conservatory in Sofia with a degree in classic guitar. Together with the Conservatory Guitar Orchestra Ms. Vasseva has been involved in concert activities throughout Bulgaria. At present Ms. Vasseva is a student in the Classic Guitar and Pedagogy classes of the Academy of Music and Dance Arts in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. To perfect her technique, she is also attending the master classes of Professor Aldo Lagrutta (Venezuela) and Eric Franceries (France), as well as those of the following German musicians: Professor Martin Rennert, Christian Reihert, Professor Bern Alert and Professor Bernard Heb. Ms. Vasseva is currently engaged in classic guitar teaching at the Naouka Infant Music School in Sofia. |
Damyana Zhivkova Damyanova , born in Shoumen, Bulgaria in 1965, graduated from the Conservatory in Sofia with a degree in flute and accordion, and later the Academy of Music and Dance Arts in Plovdiv, Bulgaria with a degree in flute, history of Arts and Pedagogy. Ms. Damyanova has been playing with the Youth Wind Orchestra, taking part in a number of concerts throughout Bulgaria, the Netherlands, Germany, Czechia and Hungary. Ms. Damyanova is now taking the piano master’s class at the State Music Academy in Sofia and is teaching piano and recorder. |
